Steam, Fry, Bake: Discover the Pensonic Tapsty Oven

With the Pensonic Tapsty, you can steam, air-fry, and bake all in one appliance—perfect for creating a variety of dishes with ease. Here are three must-try recipes that show off its versatility:

1️⃣ Steamed Snow Pear with White Fungus & Rock Sugar 🍐

Ingredients:

  • Snow pear – 2

  • White fungus – ¼ (soaked)

  • Red dates – 12

  • Rock sugar – to taste

  • Goji berries – small handful

  • Water – ±800ml

Instructions:

  1. Core and cut snow pears into small pieces (peel optional).

  2. Remove pits from red dates.

  3. In a steaming bowl, add snow pear, red dates, white fungus, and water. Select Steam Mode, 100°C, and cook for 50 mins until pears are soft.

  4. Add goji berries and rock sugar, steam for another 10 mins.

Tips 📝:

  • Choose snow pears with a slightly rough surface—they are naturally sweeter.

  • If keeping the skin, scrub with salt to remove wax and dirt.

  • Soak cut pears in water to prevent browning.

2️⃣ Kopitiam-Style Soft Buns 🥐

Ingredients:

  • High-gluten flour – 200g

  • Milk powder – 6g

  • Egg – 40g

  • Milk – 105g

  • Sugar – 20g

  • Salt – 1g

  • Yeast – 3.5g

  • Butter – 15g

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients (except butter & salt) until dough forms a thin membrane, then add butter & salt and knead until smooth. Rest for 30 mins.

  2. Degas and divide into 6 portions (~64g each).

  3. Place on a baking tray for second fermentation at 35°C for 40 mins.

  4. Bake in preheated Tapsty Oven at 170°C for 15 mins (H021 setting).

Tips 📝:

  • Flour absorbs differently; start with slightly less milk and adjust if the dough feels dry.

  • Oven temperature and baking time may vary; adjust according to your appliance.

3️⃣ Air-Fried Salmon or Rainbow Trout Head 🐟

Ingredients:

  • Salmon or rainbow trout head – 1

  • Black pepper & sea salt – to taste

  • Honey – 1 tbsp

  • Dark soy sauce – a dash

Instructions:

  1. Clean fish head and pat dry.

  2. Rub with black pepper and salt; marinate 10 mins.

  3. Air fry or bake at 200°C for ~20 mins, flip halfway. Brush with teriyaki glaze and continue 200°C for 5–8 mins.
